Job Description

PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP
Birmingham, AL

***We are currently accepting applications for an internship starting in May through June 2026***

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
The Production Intern supports EWTN's Production Department by assisting with studio and field production operations while participating in an accelerated, hands-on training program. Interns will initially shadow experienced production staff and progressively perform production tasks under direct supervision. This role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to professional broadcast production while supporting EWTN's mission to proclaim the Eternal Word to the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Assist Production Technicians during studio and field productions by helping set up, operate, and break down cameras, audio, lighting, teleprompters, and related equipment.
• Support set preparation and observe live and pre-recorded production workflows while gaining hands-on experience under supervision.
• Maintain organized and safe workspaces, report equipment issues, collaborate professionally with staff and talent, and participate in a structured training rotation aligned with departmental goals-all while upholding EWTN's Catholic mission and values.

ABOUT YOU:

• You are a current student or recent graduate in media production, broadcasting, communications, or a related field with a strong interest in television, radio, or multimedia production.
• You are eager to learn, follow direction, and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
• You are physically able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and are available for variable production schedules, including early mornings or extended hours.
• You support EWTN's mission and values and ideally have some coursework or hands-on experience with video, audio, or broadcast production equipment.
