Job Description

Monsignor Edward Pace High School, located in Miami Gardens, Florida, has an opening for a qualified and experienced full-time Director of Institutional Advancement. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Responsibilities:
• Seek opportunities and develop and implement initiatives to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects to ensure a strong base of philanthropic support for the school, including but not limited to annual fund, major gifts, planned giving and events. Maintain a portfolio of major donor prospects.
• Responsible for the oversight and management of Alumni Relations for Monsignor Edward Pace High School.
• Develop, implement, and lead the development of Monsignor Edward Pace High School's strategic fundraising plans. Ensure the successful implementation of these plans through the efforts of staff and other volunteer leaders.
• In conjunction with the Principal, establish annual fundraising goals for Monsignor Edward Pace High School.
• Grow a major gift program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors from all constituencies, including parents, alumni and community partners.
• Build and implement a planned giving program, under the President of the Archdiocese of Miami Development Corporation.
• Coordinate special donor events, including fundraising events, stewardship events and other events, as needed.
• Create and sustain positive and mutually-rewarding relations between Monsignor Edward Pace High School and its donors.
• Design, develop and implement consistent, accurate and appropriate information-sharing mechanisms for development efforts.
• Responsible for all donor data management though Raiser's Edge.
• Design, develop and implement process for tracking charitable gifts made to Monsignor Edward Pace High School through the different vehicles.
• Ensure prompt and accurate gift acknowledgement, stewardship and donor communications.
• Lead support staff: recruit, gain commitment, train and develop, coach, utilize disciplinary intervention if needed, evaluate performance, make recommendations to principal on employment actions.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all internal and external constituents who contact the school by phone, email, fax or in person and all attendees at events.
• Prepare donor reports and queries from Raiser's Edge, as needed, and track all capital campaign, annual fund, major gift, and planned giving prospects, actions and notes in the donor database system.
• Oversee assembly of media kits for distribution at events and meetings.
• Keep abreast of school events, awards, student achievement and service.
• Collaborate and liaise with the Archdiocese of Miami Development Corporation.
• Regularly evaluate initiatives and results, both in the formative and summative stages and report results to Principal.
• Learn and comply with development policies of the Archdiocese of Miami as well as finance policies of the school. Liaise with Monsignor Edward Pace High School Financial Administrator.

Qualifications:
• Strong belief in Catholic education and support of the mission of the school.
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Affairs, Business or Psychology, or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in nonprofit or external affairs in a professional, managerial position; 5-8 years' experience is preferred.
• Must be well organized and able to handle multiple projects within established timelines.
• Must possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) and have an enthusiastic and dynamic personality.
• Must be comfortable working with all constituencies including school leadership, committee members, parents, alumni, volunteers, students and others.
• Flexibility with scheduling and hours; Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), CRM systems, social media platforms, email marketing tools and fundraising software (Raiser's Edge) is necessary.
• Occasional travel is required.
