Job Description

Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an immediate opening for a full-time Annual Fund Director, who plays a key role in advancing the mission of the school. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and growth of the school's Annual Fund, fostering a culture of philanthropy among parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, and friends. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Annual Fund Director leads efforts to secure annual contributions through targeted campaigns, donor engagement, and volunteer coordination. This is a 12-month position that requires a commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education.

Responsibilities include:
• Design and implement a comprehensive Annual Fund plan with clearly defined goals, timelines, and targeted donor segments.
• Lead all phases of the Annual Fund campaign, including direct mail, digital outreach, phone appeals, and personal solicitations.
• Develop segmented solicitation strategies for parents, alumni, grandparents, and faculty/staff.
• Coordinate and execute giving days, challenges, and class-based campaigns such as Senior Class and Reunion Giving.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with donors through personalized communication, in-person meetings, and ongoing stewardship.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely acknowledgment and recognition of gifts.
• Track donor participation and retention rates to inform engagement strategies.
• Recruit, train, and support a network of parents and alumni to serve as ambassadors for the Annual Fund.
• Provide leadership to class agents and giving committees for special appeals and milestone campaigns.
• Partner with the Communications Specialist to create compelling content that communicates the impact of giving.
• Oversee the production of all Annual Fund-related materials including appeals, emails, brochures, and campaign updates.
• Manage the Annual Fund presence on the school's website and social media platforms.
• Maintain accurate donor records and campaign tracking using the school's donor database (e.g., Raiser's Edge).
• Generate regular reports on progress, participation, and giving trends for school leadership.
• Analyze fundraising results to refine strategies and improve future outcomes.
• Monitor the Annual Fund budget, ensuring efficient and responsible use of resources.
• Assist the Development team with database organization and operations within Raiser's Edge NXT.
• Collaborate with the Alumni Office to support select alumni classes during their reunion years.
• Participate in other development initiatives and events as needed to support broader advancement goals.
• Attend staff meetings and provide regular updates on Annual Fund progress, metrics, and activities.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree; master's preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
• Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate search engines effectively to locate information.
• Experience in a Roman Catholic environment strongly preferred. Non-Profit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church, hierarchical structure and entities
• Must be able to sit for extended periods at a workstation
• Must have visual acuity to spot and redirect unauthorized or misguided walk-ins to premises.
• Must have adequate hearing.
