Job Description

The Athletic Director will oversee all aspects of the school's interscholastic athletic programs, ensuring they align with Catholic values and promote the holistic development of student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for all athletic programs
•Promote a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect consistent with Catholic teachings
•Hire, mentor, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff
•Develop and manage the athletic department budget
•Coordinate game schedules, transportation, and facility usage
•Ensure compliance with league, state, and diocesan regulations
•Oversee student-athlete academic eligibility and well-being
•Foster strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and the broader school community
•Organize athletic events, including tournaments, awards ceremonies, and recognition programs
•Promote athletics as an integral part of the school's educational mission
•Active presence at athletic try-outs, practices, games and other athletic events.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education, Sports Management, or related field preferred
•Previous experience in athletic administration or coaching
•Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
•Knowledge of high school athletic regulations and safety standards
•Ability to inspire and mentor student-athletes
•Experience with budgeting and program development
•Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
•Collaborative leadership style
•Commitment to and understanding of Catholic education and values
•Ability to work evenings and weekends
•Active participation in the Catholic faith
