Job Description
The Services Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the delivery of agency programs, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance with funding and internal/external regulations. This involves managing assigned staff, developing and implementing policies, and procedures, community outreach, collaboration with other agencies, and ensuring that best practices guide services to individuals and families served by the programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Identifies and develops programmatic goals, objectives, priorities, and activities to be accomplished consistent with the agency's mission and priorities; creates and updates programmatic Logic Models for all existing and new programs; develops strategies for the successful achievement of those priorities; directs and coordinates the implementation of accepted strategies and plans.
2. Identifies and develops new and/or modified programs that would promote and enhance the mission and priorities of the agency and its client services; initiates, oversees, and participates in the necessary research and analysis to justify the appropriateness of implementing the proposed program/project.
3. Monitors program performance, analyzes data, and uses this information to inform program improvements and decision-making.
4. Develops and oversees staff and volunteer professional development and training plans.
5. Directs the production of the agency-wide Scorecard.
6. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of services and programs, making recommendations for improvements.
7. Assesses community needs and develops programs to meet those needs.
8. Ensure outcome compliance with all agency contracts.
9. Ensures programmatic compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
10. Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and makes adjustments as necessary.
11. Prepares and presents reports to senior management and stakeholders.
12. Supervises assigned staff.
13. Staffs assigned committee(s) of the Board of Directors.
14. Ensures maintenance of accurate and confidential client records; facilitates case record review process.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participates in staff meetings, staff trainings, and development activities.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. A bachelor's degree is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or a related position.
2. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
3. A heartfelt commitment to service and a deep understanding of agency values, particularly within the Catholic context.
4. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
5. Ability to mentor, lead, and motivate staff in a complex, integrated, and multi-disciplinary service environment that fosters mutual respect.
6. Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and achieve organization-wide goals and client services programs, with a focus on successful outcomes that result in populations achieving self-sufficiency, improved health, personal safety, and dignity.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills including team building, coaching, and supervising.
