Job Description

Cathedral High School, an all-girls preparatory high school in New York City, is seeking a passionate, experienced advocate for Catholic education, with a strong commitment to the mission of forming women of intellect, faith, and leadership. This leader will possess strategic vision, a collaborative spirit, and a demonstrated ability to inspire faculty, students, alumnae, and benefactors in the continued growth and success of the school.

Rooted in a proud tradition of academic excellence, spiritual formation, and service, Cathedral is a dynamic and vibrant school community dedicated to the holistic education and empowerment of young women.

Cathedral High School currently enrolls approximately 235 young women from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, who represent over 59 nationalities and speak over 20 home languages. Students reside in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey.

The President of Cathedral High School serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of the school, working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees and the Principal to advance its mission and Catholic identity. The President is responsible for shaping and executing both short- and long-term strategic and operational plans, with a strong focus on institutional advancement, including fundraising and enrollment growth. As the primary ambassador of Cathedral, the President will lead efforts to position the school as a premier destination for young women seeking a transformative Catholic education in New York City. With a commitment to academic excellence, financial sustainability, and a diverse school community, the President plays a critical role in ensuring Cathedral's continued strength, visibility, and impact for generations to come.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary and mission-driven leader, with a proven ability to inspire and mobilize others around Cathedral High School's Catholic identity and values. A dedicated and forward-thinking professional, the President will bring an innovative mindset, a deep commitment to the development of young women, and the strategic expertise needed to drive institutional growth and advancement.
