Job Description
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive enrollment strategy for the School. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment, admissions, retention and marketing. The Director of Enrollment Management will oversee an Enrollment Officer and an Enrollment Assistant to execute all tasks. In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Officer, he/she also oversees the institutional integrity of all publications, related marketing materials, press releases, branding, etc. of the school to prospective students and families.DUTIES:
Set international and domestic enrollment goals in conjunction with the President, Principal and Chief Financial Officer, and develop and implement strategies to meet those goals.
Contribute to annual tuition-setting discussions in collaboration with the Board of Trustees' Finance Committee.
Maintain an online integrated admissions and enrollment system (Ravenna) to track individual applications and ensure that all required information is supplied in a timely fashion and kept on file.
Manage all areas of enrollment, including the admissions process, retention management, financial aid allocations, event opportunities, marketing strategies, yield initiatives, and budget allocation.
Work in conjunction with multiple AWHS constituencies, including but not limited to the Board of Trustees, Administrative Leadership Team, Marketing, Finance, Parent Support Board, students, and alumni.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Admissions:
Establish an enrollment strategy for current and future admission seasons.
Act as the contact person for prospective families throughout the inquiry and admissions process.
Curate visit and event opportunities to cater to prospective students and their families.
Develop and maintain relationships with local and area Catholic elementary and middle schools, as well as additional local feeder schools.
Manage and oversee the Admissions Committee, composed of members of the Administrative Leadership Team, academic department chairs, and members of the School & College Counseling team and Learning Center.
Establish an effective and efficient communication plan for all prospective, accepted, and newly enrolled students.
Review and screen all prospective student applications.
Assess and assign financial aid awards in collaboration with the Financial Aid Committee.
Review and award merit scholarships and donor-funded scholarships for accepted students based on data and pre-determined criteria.
Enrollment and Retention:
Schedule and lead monthly Attrition Risk meetings in collaboration with other members of the Administrative Leadership Team and departmental directors.
Develop strategies to strengthen community engagement and student belonging.
Co-Manage the Parent Support Board with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
Marketing & Communications:
Attend weekly Marketing & Communications meetings with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Director of Marketing & Communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding across platforms.
Approve marketing initiatives pertinent to the enrollment strategy.
Approve all marketing materials created for and distributed by the Enrollment Office.
LEADERSHIP:
Supervise the Enrollment Office team.
Attend and participate in weekly Administrative Staff meetings.
Attend and participate in weekly Presidential Cabinet meetings.
Report to the Board of Trustees at their quarterly meetings.
Chair the Board of Trustees Enrollment Committee.
Participate in annual tuition-setting discussions with the Board of Trustees' Finance Committee.
Forecast enrollment budget in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer.
Attend other School leadership meetings that may be pertinent to enrollment management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Commitment to the Mission of Archbishop Williams, set forth by the guiding principles of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
BA/BS/MA/MBA preferred; 5+ years' experience in admissions/enrollment, preferably in an independent school setting.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent analytical skills: able to interpret data as a means to make informed decisions.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and multi-task.
Excellent computer skills, including database familiarity, creating and manipulating spreadsheets, and mail-merge functions.
Ability to delegate and supervise tasks with parent and student volunteers.
Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.
The salary range for the Director of Enrollment position is $75,000-$95,000. AWHS offers a generous benefits package that includes health care, dental, 403(b) contribution, food credit in the cafeteria, tuition remission, and the opportunity for annual bonuses.
