Job Description:

The Custodian is responsible for assisting the Custodial Manager, under the supervision of the Director of Facility Operations, in ensuring Father Gabriel Richard High School (FGR) and its grounds are operationally efficient, clean, beautiful, and meeting the functional needs of its staff, faculty, students, and visitors. The qualified candidate will be an intentional disciple of Jesus Christ, with a strong work ethic, tons of initiative, a broad skillset in facilities management, and someone known to have a servant heart.

The Custodian is an hourly position scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 11:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break required by law. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide daily facility support and custodial needs ensuring a clean, safe, efficient, beautiful, and functional environment for our 120,000 square foot high school building and 20-acre grounds.

Manage the prioritization and timely completion of requests made through FGR's facility ticket system.

Conduct the following daily or seasonal duties:

Thorough and timely cleaning of the building;

Setup and cleanup of school activities and events, including athletic events;

Assist in conducting light care and maintenance of athletic fields and grounds when needed;

Assist in salting sidewalks and pathways when needed.

Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Facility Operations, President, and Principal.

Required Skills & Experience:

High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of two years of experience in a custodial role.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Skilled in bathroom and floor cleaning, dusting, window cleaning.

Experience in a church or educational setting preferred.

Possess a valid State Vehicle Operator's License.

Periodic "on call" work and occasional weekends required.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
