Job Description

A UNIQUE PLACE

Work is a gift from the loving Father to his beloved sons and daughters. And yet, receiving this gift and offering it back to our Creator can be difficult due to the brokenness and frailty of our fallen nature. We seek to answer the Lord's invitation to lean into this tension as we build an apostolate entirely devoted to honoring God both with what we do and how we do it. It's not perfect because we are not perfect. And still, we persist because "he who made the promise is trustworthy." (Hebrews 10:23)

FOR A UNIQUE PURPOSE

Amidst the obvious challenges, God is doing something amazing in our world... and we are grateful to be a part of it. Just as David reached for five smooth stones when God called him to slay the giant Goliath, when God raises up leaders in the Church, they reach for 5 Stones to help them answer his call.

When it's time to clarify a brand message, solve logistics nightmares, untangle tech troubles, or break through media malaise, we're here to help Catholic apostolates get unstuck and unleashed. Join our passionate, close-knit team in Sycamore, IL, who joyfully accompany mission-driven organizations with the professional services they need to succeed.

THE ROLE WE NEED

5 Stones is seeking a Project Manager to creatively and strategically accompany our clients and support the work of the entire Agency. A Project Manager is a key conduit of relationships between clients and our agency, working to ensure projects are organized, managed, and clearly defined in order to drive results for each of our clients.

Because we are a small and agile team, this role requires creative adaptability and comfort in the not-perfectly-clear. While we can't script what each day holds, we are certain that this team member will be asked to...

* Build trust, camaraderie, and relationships with our clients and cross-functional team through timely, clear, and honest communication.
* Respond to client needs in a timely, warm, and collaborative manner to build trust and deliver work in a timely manner.
* Love and champion the work of the Catholic organizations that we get to support
* Maintain a balance of humility and expertise, ensuring that we deliver work of the highest quality that adequately reflects the importance of this work.
* Work closely with account managers as a key driving force behind our work.
* Identify opportunities to grow our processes internally and help solidify our existing processes to continue to make them even better.
* Handle budget reviews and projections, not in isolation, but with the ability to maintain clarity around financial questions.
* Lead strategic timeline planning and scoping of projects to align with resourcing and what is possible.

THE PERSON WE NEED

The right candidate for the Project Management position will be...

* A clear, energetic, and empathetic communicator capable of building strong relationships with our clients and with colleagues
* A person with extraordinary organizational abilities, project management philosophies, and communication skills
* Knowledge of and passion for the Catholic faith
* Comfortable managing numerous projects and tasks at once
* Able to efficiently utilize project management software, scheduling tools, communication tools, and reporting tools
* Comfortable handling difficult conversations and pushing a team to align around an initiative in order to drive a specific result
* Humble and aware of their deep goodness and dignity as a beloved child of God

And the right candidate will have...

* 2+ years in client services, project management, or other experience in an Agency setting OR relevant experience in a related field that can easily be translated into Agency work
* An ability to handle and manage technical details of day-to-day creative work, including timelines, budgets, and communication internally and externally
* Exceptional EQ and off-the-charts levels of empathy
* An ability to balance quality, time, and budget to produce the best possible work on every project
* Diligence, attention to detail, and a drive to work hard in order to serve our clients and the Kingdom of God well
* An unwavering steadiness and peacefulness rooted in the Catholic identity

WHAT WE OFFER

* Competitive salaries ranging from $55k to $65k per year, depending on experience
* A one-of-a-kind work environment built by a close-knit team of men and women who share your passion and vision
* Premium healthcare and dental coverage (75% paid by the company)
* Paid time off for Holy Days of Obligation and other feasts such as Holy Thursday and Good Friday, in addition to holidays and personal vacation time
* A generous 401(K) plan with employer matching
* Flex-spending account (tax-free funds to put towards out-of-pocket medical expenses)
* "On the clock" prayer and Mass times in our on-site Chapel, where our Lord is present in the Holy Eucharist
* A pivotal position within a growing apostolate with opportunities to hone your craft and share your gifts in evolving ways as you continue your career with 5 Stones.
