Job Description

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Catholic School in Prudenville, MI, is seeking an outstanding, highly qualified Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. The school offers an excellent academic program with a strong Catholic foundation for students Pre-school through 8th grade. The ideal candidate must be a strong proponent of Catholic School education, is committed to high standards and the success of all students, and is passionate about leading by example. Qualifications:
* Degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration or Equivalent Degree from a accredited college or university.
* Current teaching certificate issued by the State of Michigan or would be willing to renew.
* Preferred minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience in education.
* Committed to Catholic education.
* Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.

Duties:
* School faith community leadership.
* Instructional leadership and curriculum development.
* Student affairs and discipline.
* Maintain regular communication with staff members on an informal as well as a formal (regularly scheduled staff meetings) bases to foster an atmosphere of cordiality, to keep them informed and involved in school policy and program decisions, and to acquire a better understand of the staff member' strengths.
* Coordinate efforts of entire staff so that the school operates efficiently and smoothly.
* Business affairs, creating and following a budget, tuition and scholarship management.
* Development/Institutional Advancement and fundraising activities.
* Carry out policies, regulations, and directives issued from the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools, and those applicable regulations required by the State.
* School Advisory Committee relations and attend all meetings
* Develop with staff a set of annual and long-range goals and objectives.
* External affairs, community relations, and marketing.
* Maintain contact with the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools by attending Diocesan sponsored meetings and events.
* Supervise clerical activities and auxiliary services, such as cafeteria, janitorial and maintenance service.
