Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is the largest pro-life political organization in the country with a nationwide network of more than 1 million Americans. We combine politics with policy, investing heavily in voter education to ensure that pro-life Americans know where their lawmakers stand on protecting the unborn, and in issue advocacy, advancing pro-life laws through direct lobbying and grassroots campaigns.

This individual will be responsible for advancing the administrative needs of the Vice President of Political Affairs and broader administrative needs of the Government Affairs (GA) team.

This is a full-time position located in the National Office (Arlington, VA). The Executive Assistant to the Vice President will report to the Vice President of Political Affairs.

Essential Functions:

Assisting the Vice President of Political Affairs with administrative needs that include but are not limited to:
Scheduling internal and external meetings
Tracking short-term and long-term action items, goals, and deadlines
Drafting, proofing, and editing documents
Tracking/returning emails and phone calls
Tracking lobbying activity in Quorum
Drafting and sending communications in HubSpot
Managing expense reports
Coordinating travel
Assisting the broader Government Affairs (GA) team with administrative and programmatic needs that include but are not limited to:
Managing team technology tools (such as HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc)
Scheduling internal and external meetings that require coordination, including Capitol Hill meetings and Executive Branch meetings
Proofing/editing documents
Managing GA master calendars
Assisting with event coordination
Taking notes at meetings and briefings when staff are unable to attend
Putting together folders/material needed for meetings
Collecting/organizing resumes
Serving as the primary point of contact for office supplies, orders, shipping needs (e.g. business cards, phone upgrades, computer repair/replace, shipping materials to conferences and/or remote staff)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in policy and/or politics is a plus.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Highly organized and attentive to deadlines
Strong communication skills
Strong adherence to procedures and policies
Familiarity with different technology platforms and how to troubleshoot issues
Must be pro-life

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position supervises the Government Affairs intern, when applicable.

Work Environment:
This position is headquartered in our Arlington, VA office. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.

May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours:
This position is a full-time position. Hours are typically 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM ET, Monday-Friday. Some weekend and evening work may be required.

Travel:
This position may occasionally require travel outside of the DC area.
