Job Description
Director of Advancement - Saint Monica Parish - Whitefish Bay, WIPosition Purpose:
The Director is a full-time exempt staff member who is primarily responsible for planning and implementing all fundraising and stewardship strategies and supporting marketing efforts to advance the mission of Saint Monica Parish.
The Director reports to the Pastor and collaborates with a variety of staff and volunteers in the parish and school.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Development and Stewardship:
• Promote a culture of philanthropy and stewardship within the entire parish community.
• Plan and coordinate all annual fundraising initiatives, major gift appeals - and in coordination with school development events and initiatives.
• Identify and solicit potential donors and major gifts; support the pastor with relationship building and solicitation.
• Manage and oversee capital giving programs.
• Work closely with parish and school staff and key volunteers to achieve advancement goals.
Communications and Constituent Relations:
• Participate in Parish Stewardship Committee, Pastoral Council, Finance Council, as needed.
• Take advantage of speaking events and other tools to be sure donors are acknowledged and thanked.
Other:
• Supervise Associate Director of Communications and coordinate parish-wide communications efforts
• Collaborate with the Director of Administrative Services to ensure fundraising success.
• Collaborate with school Director of Advancement and Enrollment.
Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic who values Faith with a high regard for Catholic education
• Experience in development, event planning, and volunteer management.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to execute strategic plans.
• Up to date technology skills, including use of database and fundraising software or demonstrated mindset of learning.
