Job Description
Purpose of Position:The Coordinator of Annual Giving and Grants is responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of a comprehensive annual fundraising program and a comprehensive grant program on behalf of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings ("Diocese"). The Coordinator of Annual Giving and Grants works collaboratively with all members of the Pastoral Center team and the staff of the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Annual Giving:
• Responsible for coordination and success of the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA), which includes but is not limited to:
o Developing campaign materials
o Seeking opportunities for campaign growth
o Timely and effective rollout of the annual campaign
o Communicating with parishes regarding the ACA
o Coordinating appropriate committees
o Overseeing successful coordination of campaign events
o Ensuring accurate entry of ACA gifts into donor database
o Ensuring timely and accurate receipting and thanking of ACA donors
• Develops and maintains a rolling two-year plan for Annual Giving development.
• Assists with strategic planning and budgeting for the Annual Giving program, in consultation with and approved by COO
• Sets annual goals for solicitations in consultation with and approved by COO
• Sets annual goals for stewardship visits, in consultation with and approved by COO
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards annual gift donors
• Coordinates all aspects of donor solicitations and periodic special fundraising appeals
• Ensures gifts received are used in accordance with the donor's intent, as initially agreed by the diocese.
• Ensures all other proper follow-up with donors regarding any gifts
Event Planning and Coordination:
• Responsible for the planning and executing of impactful annual fundraising events
Grants:
• Creates and oversees processes and procedures for developing and managing grants within the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.
• Cultivates, solicits, and stewards grantors
• Sets annual performance and outcomes goals in consultation with and approved by the COO
• Develops and maintains a rolling two-year plan for Grant development
• Assists with strategic planning and budgeting for the Grant program, in consultation with and approved by COO
• Prepares timely, accurate writing, and submission of grants
• Develops and monitors program and project budgets
• Ensures compliance with funder's requirements
• Actively seeks potential major grants from private and corporate funding sources
• Builds relationships with private and corporate foundations
• Works collaboratively with Diocesan employees to develop and submit funding applications
• Tracks grant and their associated timelines to ensure compliance with funders' requirements.
• Analyzes and prepares written follow-up reports to funders
• Generates regular reports of program performance

Qualifications:
A. Education & Experience
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent to a minimum of five years of direct fundraising
• Event planning/coordination experience
• Demonstrated success in managing grant writing projects, writing grants, and securing new funding
• Safe environment Background Check & Training completed https://greatfalls.cmgconnect.org and on an ongoing basis required
