Job Description

Position Summary
All Souls Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, dynamic, and dedicated Middle School Theology Teacher who is committed to fostering students' spiritual, academic, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will joyfully embrace the mission of Catholic education by helping students develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, an understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church, and a commitment to living their faith through service and discipleship.

Primary Responsibilities
* Teach theology to students in grades 6-8 using the school's approved curriculum and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that inspire students to grow in their faith and knowledge of Scripture, Church history, sacraments, morality, prayer, and Catholic social teaching.
* Integrate Catholic values and a Catholic worldview into all aspects of classroom instruction.
* Foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, compassion, accountability, and the dignity of every person.
* Encourage students to actively participate in prayer, liturgy, service opportunities, and other faith formation activities.
* Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parish staff to support the spiritual life of the school.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic performance and student development.
* Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement.
* Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and other duties as assigned.
* Serve as a positive role model by living a life consistent with the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

Qualifications
* Practicing Catholic in good standing who supports and upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church.
* Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
* Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
* Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
* Passion for working with adolescents and helping them grow academically and spiritually.
