Job Description

The Benedictine Schools of Richmond seeks an Advancement Associate to provide administrative, technological, and programmatic support for the advancement team. This dynamic position involves general administrative duties, including event preparation and support, meeting preparation, communication, and general office operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Reports to: Vice-President of Mission
Position status: Full-time, non-exempt
Compensation: $50,000 per year

Responsibilities
• Assist with donor stewardship support via direct mailings, gift delivery, donor hospitality at events
• Support donor recognition programs and events to show appreciation for donors' support
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including direct mailings, online campaigns, and special events
• Assist in creating content for fundraising appeals, newsletters, and social media posts to engage donors and promote fundraising initiatives
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across fundraising materials
• Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events, including logistics, guest management, and post-event follow-up
• Collaborate with volunteers and vendors to ensure successful event execution
• After hours and weekend work required

Skills and Qualifications
• Strong candidates for this role will have excellent organization and prioritization skills, with demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The incumbent will be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Desire to expand skillset and eagerness to grow professionally
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
• General knowledge of advancement activities and best practice
• Experience with event planning and support
