Job Description
The Claretian Missionaries, a 501(c)(3) religious organization based in downtown Chicago, has a challenging full-time opportunity for a Mission Advancement Manager (MAM) to join a dynamic Mission Advancement Team. As a member of the Mission Advancement fundraising department, the Manager leads a portfolio of campaign activities for the Claretians USA-Canada Province. The Manager oversees the Claretian Community Impact digital ministry; is the creator for written appeals and fundraising content across multiple print and digital channels, coordinates events and builds individual and institutional relationships through matching/payroll giving programs.Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Mission Advancement, the role supervises the Digital Coordinator and Donor Database Specialist and engages in strategic campaign planning to meet and exceed annual campaign goals.
Primary Accountabilities
• Oversees annual campaign strategy and implementation including content management.
• Oversees and coordinates annual campaign cultivation and recognition events.
• Stewards a portfolio of 100 relationships.
• Partners with team members to ensure each appeal is targeted to a strategic audience of existing, lapsed and prospect groups.
• Ensures KPI's, goals and deliverables of supervised staff are achieved effectively and efficiently.
• Monitors and reports on performance outcomes and ensures expense are within budget.
• Partners with internal collaborators for smart and efficient use of resources.
• Performs donor record maintenance in Aegis CRM.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree, preferably in Fundraising, Marketing or Nonprofit Administration
• 3+ years of progressive development experience
• Demonstrated proficiency and ease with storytelling via the written word
• Superior relationship management skills with proven outcomes
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Fast, accurate data entry proficiency
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills and CRM software experience required
• Experience with mission-driven social service organizations preferred, experience working in fundraising, journalism and communications is helpful
• Understanding of the Catholic faith helpful
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred - full fluency in English required
This full-time position is based at the downtown Chicago office conveniently located minutes from all train stations. Offers a competitive salary from $55,000+ based in experience and full benefits including a generous paid time off package.
