Short Term Leave Replacement - 3rd Grade Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a Short-Term Leave Replacement 3rd Grade Teacher for an immediate start (March 2026-June 2026) to serve for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards and a passion for elementary education.

This temporary position follows a co-teaching model and includes instruction in all core subject areas - Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies - as well as Religion.

Candidates must be committed to the mission of Catholic education and work collaboratively with our Elementary School Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, effective instructional practices, and the ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree required
-New York State Certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) preferred
-Background in elementary education with appropriate teaching experience

Responsibilities include:
-Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with NYS standards
-Delivering differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
-Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
-Maintaining consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance
-Collaborating regularly with faculty, administration, and support staff to support student growth
-Supporting school routines, including lunch and recess duties
- Ensuring students meet grade-level academic standards and school performance goals
