Art Teacher, Part Time

Create a faith-filled, nurturing, and artistically enriching experience that teaches art concepts and skills while also communicating the joy of the Gospel to children in third through eighth grade at Saint Stephen Protomartyr School.

The Position

We are looking for a part-time art teacher for our third grade through eight grade students with enthusiasm for art, genuine desire to support each child's growth, and a collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate would be a devout Catholic with some teaching experience and a deep love for young children. We are also open to hiring a committed Christian with great aptitude for teaching art.

Duties and Compensation

Our school year runs from mid August to late May, with school classes occurring between 7:45 am and 3 pm. Our art teacher teaches six 45 minute classes each week. Compensation 25% of a full time elementary school teacher's pay according to the elementary school teacher's schedule of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Likely annual pay for this part time job might be $12,000-$17,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
