Job Description

Assistant to the Director of Children's Faith Formation

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
~ Plan, organize and manage kindergarten through high school faith formation programs.
~ Coordinate the recruitment, training, scheduling, support and evaluation of catechists/volunteers for the children's faith formation program and sacramental preparation.
~ Develop and manage the Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation sacramental programs in collaboration with the DFF/Pastor.
~ Gather and maintain records of registration and participation in faith formation classes and program activities, including parental permission forms and sacramental requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bilingual. Fluency in English and Spanish in both speaking and writing
• 1-2 years post-secondary education
• Experience with coordinating a group of volunteers
• A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
• Strong knowledge of the Catholic Church teachings.
• Eligible for compliance with Diocesan Safe Environment requirements
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools

EXPECTED HOURS
• 20 hours/week
• Flexible schedule to meet the needs of parishioners/responsibilities
