We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Catholic individual to join our team as a Housemother. As a Housemother, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for residents in our facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals. All Majella House Employees must uphold the moral teachings of the Catholic Church.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the daily activities of residents
- Provide emotional support and guidance to residents
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive living environment
- Implement and enforce house rules and policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members
- Helping clients live more fulfilled and independent lives by showing them how to take care of themselves and supporting them in everyday tasks
- Assessing the needs of clients and developing individualized care plans
- Monitoring the progress of clients and amending care plans as needed
- Involving clients' families to provide clients with holistic and effective support
- Liaising with other professionals, such as social workers or psychiatrists, to ensure that clients receive comprehensive treatment
- Maintaining and updating case reports and client records
- Encouraging the development and well-being of clients by helping them pursue hobbies and participate in healthy activities

- Empathy and understanding towards individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Patience and compassion when working with residents
- Ability to establish boundaries while maintaining a supportive relationship
- Experience with the homeless population, substance abuse clients, domestic violence victims, is a major plus.
- Must uphold the moral teachings of the Catholic Church.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year

12 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift

Ability to Relocate:
PENSACOLA, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person in the maternity home. This is a full-time live-in position.

Pets are not allowed in the maternity home.
