Position Overview:
The Coordinator of Youth Ministry for Programs and Events is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, implementation, and execution of youth ministry programs and events. This individual reports to and works closely with the Director of Religious Education & Youth Ministry to design dynamic and engaging programs that align with the mission of the parish and promote spiritual growth among the youth. The coordinator will manage the logistics of youth group meetings, retreats, service projects, and other special events while ensuring that all programs are effectively planned and executed to advance the mission of Catholic youth ministry.

Key Responsibilities
• Program Planning and Execution: Design and coordinate youth ministry programs, including youth group meetings, retreats, service projects, small groups, and diocesan events.
• Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of youth ministry events, ensuring they are well-organized and meet the spiritual, social, and logistical needs of the youth.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage event registrations, supplies, and transportation for events and retreats.
• Collaboration: Work with the Director & other staff to ensure all programs align with the parish's mission and values, and the vision of youth ministry in the Diocese of Arlington.
• Volunteer Support: Assist in recruiting and supporting volunteers to help with events and activities.
• Communication: Maintain regular communication with youth participants, parents, and volunteers to ensure program success.
• Budget Management: Assist with managing event budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

Qualifications
• Strong commitment to the Catholic faith and Church teachings.
• Experience in youth ministry, event planning, catholic schools, camps, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with parish staff, volunteers, and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in theology, religious education, or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate program schedules.
