Director of Religious Education

Job Description

Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Director of Religious Education (DRE) to begin in June or July 2025.

This role can be full-time or part-time and is integral to nurturing lifelong discipleship within our vibrant community.

Job Duties

1. CCD/Parish School of Religion (Grades 1-12)

2. Sacramental preparation for First Communion and Confirmation

3. OCIA for adults, children, and teens

4. Adult faith formation initiatives

5. Youth ministry coordination

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience

1. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Catholic theology, religious education, or a related field

2. Experience in catechetics or youth ministry

3. Strong leadership, organization, flexibility

4. A deep personal commitment to the Catholic faith

Salary

For full-time, 40 hours/week: $40,000-$50,000, based on education and experience.

Part-time salary will vary by hours worked. Benefits may be available depending on schedule.
