Job Description

Classroom Teacher: Positions available in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Position: Part-Time Classroom Teacher (Thursday & Friday)

Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Lower School Teacher to lead an elementary classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love of learning in young students while nurturing their spiritual and academic growth.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHA's curriculum.
Provide instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, and math, using small groups with the support of a classroom aide.
Teach additional subjects such as Nature Study, Latin, and Catechesis, while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions. (No prior Latin knowledge necessary.)
Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management.
Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience.
Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Support students' individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:
Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting.
Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
Teaching certificate is not required, but should have experience with elementary education, classical education, faith based instruction, or homeschool curriculum.
Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

We provide in-person classes at the academy two days a week, and curriculum guidance for three days of learning at home.
