Job Title: (Full Time) Executive Assistant to Head of School
Department: Head of School Office and Personnel
Immediate Opening, Summer 2026

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Executive Assistant to the Head of School provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Head of School office, including managing schedules, correspondence, personnel onboarding and paperwork, event/travel coordination, and Board of Advisors support. In addition, this position works closely with the Advancement team to support school initiatives and with the Finance Department on personnel paperwork coordination.
The Executive Assistant must be faith-filled and committed to the school mission, enjoying work in a fast-paced, high school environment. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will feel comfortable working independently on projects, must have technology experience, and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and diplomacy. This role has outward facing duties, engaging with alumni, families and friends of Bishop Ireton, and assisting with events as needed throughout the school year.
This is a full-time position in-person at 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of two to three years of experience supporting executives or having transferable professional skills, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office and ability to navigate and learn a school portal system
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, board members, parents and donors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative approaches to problem-solving
• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate customer/client service and response
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
