One Mission. Many Opportunities.Join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration mission and ministry. We are seeking a full-time Liturgist and Musician to join our team at St. Rose Convent, the spiritual heart and administrative center of FSPA in La Crosse, WI. Visit us at www.fspa.org.
As the Liturgist and Musician, you would oversee, coordinate and be responsible for all aspects of the Eucharistic Liturgies, sacramental and special prayer services, and coordinate music in a Franciscan community.
This position will include some evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
• Identify with and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
• Coordinate music/liturgy
• Direct the community worship program, including the planning of liturgical seasons, liturgical calendar and special services in collaboration with the St. Rose Liturgy Committee.
• Prepare worship aids for Sundays, feast days and other special days
• Schedule Sunday/weekday Liturgies, train liturgical ministers, and prepare cantors
• Maintain and oversee the use of musical instruments at St. Rose, including the pipe organ and six pianos
We are looking for an energetic, caring individual who has:
• Experience and knowledge of Roman Catholic Liturgy
• Knowledge of liturgy/music at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree
• Preferred experience with choral conducting, but not required
• Music skills and the ability to play the organ/piano preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be flexible to meet the needs of the position; to include but not limited to weekends, holidays and community events.
• Knowledge of Franciscan and Liturgical Feasts
