Job Description

St. Dominic Parish in Oyster Bay is seeking a Director of Music Ministry. This is a full-time position including weekend masses, and must be flexible with work schedule, especially for Holy Days and special events. The Director of Music Ministry should be a committed Roman Catholic familiar with all aspects and all types of liturgical celebrations and music. The starting salary is $38,000 to $42,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Weddings $150.00 and Funerals $150.00. The music director will work with and report directly to the pastor.

Responsibilities

2 Sunday services (9:30 am family mass, 11:30am choir mass)
1 Saturday night Vigil (5pm)
Christmas Eve, Holy Week and Holy Days of Obligation
1 weekly choir rehearsal (Thursday evening), September through June.
Cantor Scheduling and Payroll, Hymnody Planning
Organs:

1901 historic Hook and Hastings 2 manual, fully restored (Chapel).
1983 AOB, 3 manual, in good condition (Church).
