Director Faith Formation

Job Description

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Atlanta seeks a full-time director of faith formation to oversee and guide all parish faith formation programs. The director will work collaboratively with the faith formation coordinator, youth minister and faith formation administrative assistant to ensure strong, well-organized programs that support the spiritual growth of children, youth and adults. Responsibilities include overseeing all parish faith formation programs; supervising and supporting the faith formation team; recruiting, training and supporting volunteer catechists; coordinating sacramental preparation and catechetical initiatives, including family catechesis and promoting ongoing faith formation opportunities in the parish community. Qualified candidates have a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and parish life; a background in education, theology or a related field; experience in faith formation or parish ministry; the ability to lead and collaborate with a team and are a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church.
