Job Description

Elementary/Middle School English Language Arts or Elementary Math Teacher: This is a part time position, contracted at 20hrs/week, that will primarily revolve around being the homeroom teacher for up to 35 students and instructing the CVA Elementary English Language Arts program and Middle School Grammar/Spelling Program or Elementary Math. While the primary role of the homeroom teacher is to provide a single point of contact for families with clear communication, other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assigning student work, evaluating student progress and assessing student work. In this position, you may tutor students and provide progress check-ins in addition to your other teaching responsibilities. As a subject specific teacher, you will design and assign work in our learning management system, Spark, evaluate and communicate student progress and quality of work, and design and implement group enrichment sessions.

This position is virtual/remote in the state of WI but does expect some in-person training and field trip attendance. This includes, but is not limited to, before the school year in-service training, mid-year in-service, one science experiment field trip where you will collaborate and instruct students through their hands-on science experiments under the preparation of the science teacher (three sections of experiments happen on these days, so our teachers will collaborate to make it happen), In-person testing day in the Spring where you will collaborate with other staff to plan and implement 4k-2nd grade programming or assist with testing and break activities. Teachers are encouraged to attend other field trips as they are able.

Teaching experience/license preferred, Bachelors degree Required.
