Job Description

FrancisCorps, a small Catholic, Franciscan non-profit that provides young adults, age 21 to 25 with a year-long experience of Gospel life and the Franciscan Charism through direct service, intentional Christian community, and faith formation, is seeking a Program Director (permanent/full-time). The Program Director is a vital part of this mission. Each year, the Program Director takes a leadership role in recruiting a new community of on average 5 to 7 volunteers and then walking with them during their year, managing the day-to-day operations of the FrancisCorps experience. An important part of the leadership team, the Program Director assists the Executive Director and Chaplain in the formation, mission advancement, and financial administration of the program.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
-In-person recruitment efforts, including campus visits, recruitment fairs and conferences
-Building and maintaining recruitment relationships with partner organizations
-Recruitment marketing and advertising
-Executing and coordinating all FrancisCorps social media including content creation such as graphic design and short video production
Organizing and executing the application process including leading interviews and assisting individuals in the process of applying, interviewing, and preparing to begin their service
-Day-to-day management of the FrancisCorps experience such as volunteer onboarding/orientation/training, service site placement and visits, retreat organization and logistics, crisis intervention and conflict management, organizing weekly volunteer community night participation, and regular one-on-one meetings with the volunteers

You'll be expected to:
-Assist, when necessary, with responsibilities associated with formation, mission advancement and financial administration.
-Perform professionally and effectively in a faith-based environment
-Be highly organized while also being able to change direction when circumstances demand
-Work effectively both independently as well as in a collaborative, creative team environment
-Have a willingness and ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally to assist with the Charism Pilgrimage to Italy. Regular travel for recruitment will be required.
-Work in-person in Syracuse, NY with flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends
-Report to the Executive Director

You already have:
-A Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred)
-Prior experience in a ministerial role with young adults and/or long-term service experience
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as strong interpersonal skills
-Familiarity with the Catholic Church and are interested in the Franciscan Charism.
-Interest in and are effective at utilizing social media platforms, specifically Facebook and Instagram, and design software such as Cavna.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience.
