Job Description
The Advancement Director for the Mother Cabrini Maine Catholic Education Initiative is a key leader advancing the mission of Catholic education across Maine. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and stewarding comprehensive fundraising strategies that sustain and grow the Cabrini Fund's support for Catholic education, including Cabrini Schools and statewide Catholic education programs and initiatives. The Director collaborates with clergy, school leaders, donors, community stakeholders, and the Catholic Foundation of Maine to cultivate a culture of philanthropy rooted in Catholic values. The Director also partners with diocesan Catholic Schools and their parish leaders to share development best practices and strengthen fundraising capacity across the Initiative.In order to qualify for this position, the individual must be an active practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church with a deep commitment to the mission of the Church and Catholic education. The successful candidate will be able to authentically articulate and promote the Catholic educational mission in donor and community settings; have a minimum of 5 years experience with major gifts, annual giving programs, foundation relations and event funding; as well as be skilled in strategic planning, project management, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or professional certification in fundraising, non profit management or related field preferred. Familiarity with fundraising databases/CRM systems, data analytics and donor tracking tools as well as organizational skills to support multiple initiatives, timelines and reporting requirements required. Travel throughout the Diocese and the country is required.
