Job Description
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSpecial Events
-Work with the Director of Enrollment, Director of Giving, and the principal to develop and implement a special event strategy for the school.
-Develop new opportunities to support advancement initiatives through the creation of additional special events.
-Budget management through the creation of detailed event budgets, regularly track expenses, and ensure cost-effective event planning.
-Donor cultivation by identifying potential sponsors and donors, cultivating relationships through personalized outreach, and securing sponsorships and donations.
-Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, decorations, permits, and vendor contracts.
-Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to promote events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, website content, and outreach.
-Volunteer recruitment and management, including soliciting, training, and overseeing teams of parent and community volunteers to support event execution.
-Create a positive guest experience through on-site event management, guest communication, and attendee follow-up.
-Data tracking and analysis through monitoring fundraising progress, tracking key metrics, and analyzing event data to hit target fundraising goals and optimize future fundraising strategies.
-Post-event reporting via detailed event summary reports recapping fundraising results, donor feedback, and lessons learned.
-Meet and/or exceed gross/net financial goals and expense budget for each event.
-Provide support for capital campaign events, Open House, Frassati Family Fun Fest, and other admissions and advancement department-related events.
-Other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment and Director of Giving.

-Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to promote events through various channels including social media, email campaigns, website content, and outreach.
-Flexible and responsive to change as the school grows.
-Be visible to the campus community.
-Find ways that the Director of Special Events can contribute to the building of the culture and community at Frassati Catholic.
-Ability to work with volunteers, faculty, and donors in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor's degree or academic/professional equivalent.
-Knowledgeable and supportive in word and action of the school's mission, vision, and educational philosophy.
-Implement mission of the school through witness.
-Represent the school in a positive way on and off the school campus.
-Experience in a Catholic school setting, preferably in the area of special events, or a minimum of two years of directly applicable experience in event planning.
-Mastery of computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, databases, and event platforms.
-Competency with website design, familiarity with HTML, and social networks.
-Experience with creative platforms such as Adobe InDesign, Publisher, PowerPoint, or Prezi.
-Proficiency in organizational, editorial, written, and oral communication skills.
-Physical ability to lift 25 lbs, stand for long periods of time, set up tables, tents, etc.
-Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
