Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Catholic Education & Spiritual Formation
o Promote and uphold Gospel values, Catholic moral teaching, and the doctrinal teachings of
the Catholic Church in all aspects of the role.
o Foster a Catholic environment through leadership, service, and professional interactions.
o Represent the school positively within the community and support its mission through daily
responsibilities.

Accompaniment & Musical Support
o Provide piano accompaniment for Frassati Catholic Chorus rehearsals and performances as
requested.
o Accompany singers and instrumentalists for TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Regional and
State competitions, including related rehearsals as needed.
o Attend morning rehearsals, typically Monday through Thursday from 7:00-7:35 a.m., and
occasional after-school rehearsals or performances as scheduled.
o Play full score and support a variety of musical styles appropriate to choral, vocal, and
instrumental repertoire.
o Provide pitches, cues, tempo support, or other musical assistance when requested by the
director.

Professional Responsibilities
o Prepare assigned music in advance and arrive on time for scheduled rehearsals,
performances, and competitions.
o Communicate scheduling conflicts or preparation needs promptly to the Choir Director.
o Follow school policies, procedures, and expectations for employees and contractors, as
applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
Experience
o Advanced piano proficiency required.
o Ability to accompany choral, vocal, and instrumental music in a variety of styles.
o Experience accompanying school, church, community, or professional ensembles preferred.
o Familiarity with full-score reading and rehearsal accompaniment preferred.
Skills and Competencies
o Strong musicianship, sight-reading ability, rhythm, and tempo control.
o Ability to follow a conductor or director and adjust quickly during rehearsal.
o Dependability, punctuality, preparation, and attention to detail.
o Clear communication and ability to work well with students and faculty.
Physical Requirements
o Ability to sit and play piano for rehearsals and performances.
o Ability to move between campus locations and performance spaces as needed.
Additional Requirements
o Must be either a practicing Catholic who joyfully lives out and publicly professes the
Catholic faith or a Christian who joyfully lives our and publicly professes their Christian faith
o Complete all required trainings (e.g., Safe Environment Training) and adhere to the Code of
Ethics and confidentiality guidelines
o Demonstrate self-discipline, prudential judgment, and effective communication
o Maintain appropriate grooming and dress as stated in the Employee Handbook
o Demonstrate applicable computer proficiency
