Position Overview
The Director of School Ministry helps cultivate a school-wide culture of faith, formation, and missionary discipleship in collaboration with school leadership.
The Director of School Ministry is also a teaching member of the Theology Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
LITURGY, WORSHIP, AND PRAYER
Plan, coordinate, and execute class/school liturgies, schedule weekly masses and intentions.
Schedule and supervise student sacristans and liturgical ministers.
Coordinate liturgical music for all liturgies and compose and publish worship resources.
Oversee sacristy and liturgical needs.
Schedule and coordinate Penance Services for the school community.
RETREATS
Collaborate, plan, execute, and evaluate dynamic, engaging, and meaningful student and faculty retreats.
FAITH FORMATION AND CHRISTIAN SERVICE
Collaborate with administration to provide an overall faith formation plan and vibrant school Christian service program that is inclusive of the teachings of St. John Baptiste de LaSalle.
Promote a culture of vocational awareness, particularly to the priesthood and religious life.
Be an active participant in formation including: retreats (adult and student) and yearly programming.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
• Create the master school ministry calendar for spiritual life during the school year.
• Oversee and manage school ministry budget.
• Attend administration and staff meetings.
• Promote and support student life and school activities per the administration's directives.
• Scheduling and steering meetings of adult and student campus ministry teams.
• Providing pastoral counseling to students and staff and collaborating with the guidance department and administration on the spiritual health and well-being of the school community.
• Participating in meetings/workshops sponsored by the Office of Catechetical Formation for School Ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a practicing Catholic, willing to uphold Catholic moral teaching and leading a life consistent with the Catholic Faith.
• Bachelor's degree in Theology or Religious Studies from a Catholic college or university.
• Previous experience in secondary education, campus ministry, youth ministry or parish life preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and social media preferred.
Requirement: Applicants to be practicing Catholics as verified by the pastor of the parish in which they are registered.
