Job Description

Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a Superintendent who will manage the day-to-day operations of two Catholic regional cemeteries. The Superintendent supervises and participates in the cemetery's office, sales, service, interment, and maintenance operations to maximize efficiency, while recognizing and enhancing the spiritual and pastoral nature of the Catholic Cemetery ministry.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of and appreciation for the rules and traditions of the Catholic Church, especially those related to Christian burial, as well as an understanding of general cemetery rules and regulations and a familiarity with cemetery office and field operations. Other qualifications include effective verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal and public relations abilities, and strong computer skills.

A Bachelor's degree in business or related field, and 3 years of experience in cemetery operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
