Job Description
Position SummaryThe Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the organization, ensuring its financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and manage the organization's annual budget, in collaboration with the President and other relevant stakeholders
Monitor and report on the organization's financial performance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, including those related to purchasing, billing, and invoicing
Manage the organization's relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely payments
Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to inform decision-making by the President and other stakeholders
Provide strategic financial and operational advice to the President and Board of Directors
Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations on matters concerning the organization's facilities and operations, ensuring that they are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations
Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on matters concerning to payroll and benefits, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Oversee the organization's technology infrastructure and operations, including hardware, software, and networks
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
At least 5 years of experience in financial management and business operations, preferably in an educational setting
Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices
Experience with budget development and management, financial reporting, and compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Commitment to the mission and values of RCA
This is a Full Time Exempt Position
