Job Description
The Assistant Principal for Community Outreach serves as a senior leader responsible for advancing the mission, Catholic identity, enrollment, visibility, and external engagement of Holy Trinity. Rooted in the educational mission of the Catholic Church and the vision of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, this position fosters relationships that strengthen the school as a community of faith, academic excellence, evangelization, and service.The Assistant Principal for Community Outreach promotes and communicates the distinctive value of Catholic education, builds meaningful partnerships with families and stakeholders, and supports initiatives that cultivate enrollment growth, philanthropic engagement, and long-term institutional vitality.
The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic and mission-driven leader who understands Catholic Education and serves as a visible ambassador of Holy Trinity Diocesan High School and the Church.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enrollment Growth & Admissions Support
- Develop and execute strategic outreach initiatives that increase enrollment while advancing the Catholic mission of the school.
- Collaborate closely with the Admissions Office to attract, recruit, enroll, and retain missionaligned families.
- Build and strengthen relationships with Catholic elementary schools, feeder schools, pastors, parish staff, youth ministers, and community organizations.
- Coordinate open houses, shadow days, tours, and outreach events that authentically communicate the value of Catholic secondary education.
2. Community & Parish Engagement
- Foster strong partnerships with local parishes, clergy, Catholic organizations, and diocesan ministries.
- Develop outreach opportunities that engage Catholic elementary school students and families.
- Represent the school at parish, diocesan, civic, and community events.
- Liaise with the Titan Parent Club, attending meetings and ensuring initiatives and communications reflect and support the mission and values of Holy Trinity High School.
3. Alumni Engagement, Advancement & Stewardship
- Build a culture of lifelong connection and stewardship among alumni rooted in gratitude, service, and Holy Trinity's mission.
- Strengthen alumni relationships through strategic communications, events, mentoring opportunities, and volunteer engagement.
- Collaborate with the Development Office to support fundraising priorities and cultivate philanthropic support.
4. Marketing, Communications & Institutional Promotion
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications personnel to develop compelling outreach materials and digital campaigns.
- Ensure all messaging reflects the school's Catholic identity, academic excellence, and commitment to forming young men and women of faith, scholarship, leadership, and service.
- Oversee storytelling initiatives that highlight student formation, academic achievement, service, athletics, campus ministry, and alumni success.
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to engage stakeholders while maintaining alignment with diocesan and school communications standards.
- Support the Director of Technology in maintaining an attractive, current, and mission-centered website presence.
5. Events, Hospitality & Community Experience
- Plan and execute events that showcase the mission, Catholic identity, traditions, and achievements of Holy Trinity.
- Partner with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and parents to create meaningful experiences that foster belonging and institutional pride.
- Support major school and diocesan events as requested by the Principal.
- Promote a culture of hospitality that reflects the joy of the Gospel and the welcoming spirit of Catholic education.
Qualifications
- Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing who demonstrates fidelity to the teachings, mission, and values of the Catholic Church as stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Code of Canon Law and as interpreted by the Diocesan Bishop.
- Commitment to supporting and advancing the mission of Catholic education and the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Communications, Advancement, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Catholic education, admissions, advancement, communications, development, ministry, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in relationship-building, strategic planning, enrollment management, advancement, marketing, or community engagement.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational, supervisory, and project management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clergy, school leadership, faculty, parents, students, alumni, and external partners.
- Experience using digital communications, social media, and data-informed outreach strategies preferred.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for school and community events.
