Learning Lab Coordinator

Job Description

The Learning Lab Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the resource room, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive targeted instructional support in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role involves collaborating with teachers, support staff, families, and administrators to provide an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
-Coordinate the scheduling, organization, and delivery of resource room services for students with IEPs.
-Provide direct instruction in small groups or individually to support skill development in reading, math, writing, executive functioning, and social-emotional skills.Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
-Monitor and track student progress through assessments, data collection, and regular reporting.
-Collaborate with general education teachers to modify classroom assignments and assessments, ensuring accessibility and inclusion.
-Support and guide paraprofessionals assigned to the resource room.
-Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and related service providers regarding student needs and progress.
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education laws, policies, and procedures.
-Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to the development of goals, and provide progress updates.
-Maintain an organized, supportive, and positive resource room environment that promotes student independence and confidence.
