Job Description
Position Summary:Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement, the Advancement Engagement Specialist plays a critical role in strengthening relationships with diocesan leadership, coordinating parish and organizational engagement opportunities, and implementing cultivation strategies that support long-term revenue growth and increased participation in the National Collection.
The Advancement Engagement Specialist will also assist with Advancement operations, event coordination, donor engagement initiatives, and Salesforce-related administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage diocesan outreach efforts related to the National Collection, including communication timelines, participation tracking, collection scheduling, material distribution, and follow-up engagement
2. Build and maintain productive relationships with the appropriate diocesan leadership, including but not limited to Development Directors, pastors and parish leadership
3. Develop and implement proactive cultivation and stewardship strategies designed to strengthen diocesan engagement, increase participation, and support long-term revenue growth
4. Identify dioceses, parishes, and organizations with growth potential and assist in developing tailored engagement events to expand awareness and financial support of the AMS mission
5. Assist in developing strategic communications and donor-facing materials that effectively communicate the mission, impact, and ministry of the AMS to dioceses, parishes, organizations, donors, and supporters
6. Serve as liaison between the Advancement Office and hosting parishes, organizations, and event partners to ensure successful planning, coordination, and execution of events and initiatives
7. Track and evaluate event participation, engagement metrics, and outreach outcomes to support data-driven planning and future growth initiatives
8. Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics that support Advancement leadership in strategic planning and informed decision-making
9. Provide routine database and user support for AMS staff and AMS community/portal users, including password resets, MFA reconfiguration, account access assistance, and basic troubleshooting
10. Assist with ongoing maintenance, improvement, and strategic development of the AMS database in coordination with the Associate Director of Advancement and external database administration team
11. Maintain database integrity through accurate data entry, record updates, duplicate record management, and ongoing review of donor and constituent information
12. Provide operational and administrative support to the Office of Advancement, including coverage support during staff absences, vacations, and PTO. Develops and maintains productive and respectful relationships with clergy, staff, chaplains, donors, volunteers, and friends of the military and the Church
13. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree; may be substituted by experience
• At least two years prior administrative experience
• Prior Experience with Salesforce or other Fundraising Database preferred
• Event Coordination preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint) required

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to provide the same.
• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple demands and/or projects simultaneously.
• Able to apply sound judgment, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary data, and conduct oneself with integrity and focus.
• Flexibility to attend and staff evening and weekend events as required.
• Sense of humor and comfort level in working in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to work collaboratively and with spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
