Job Description
St. Edmund Preparatory High School has a vacancy in the math department for a teacher starting in September 2025.St. Edmund Preparatory High School is a Catholic co-ed, IB World, college preparatory school located in Brooklyn, NY. We offer a rigorous college prep curriculum that focuses on the Next Generation Math Standards.
Our mission is to instill the Gospel values in our students so as to empower them to become confident and self-disciplined participants in the ever-changing global society. We educate according to the needs of each student and challenge each of them to achieve academic excellence through practical learning experiences.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide clear and consistently high-quality math instruction for all students
• Create instructional lesson plans and activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience
• Must be able to teach all levels of regents high school math
• Implement instructional strategies and resources that are aligned with rigor of Next Generation Standards to meet the needs of all students, including those with varying learning styles
• Guide students in preparing to be successful on NYS regents exams
• Working collaboratively with other math faculty to foster an environment of bold learning
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• NYS teaching certification in math 7-12 or currently working towards certification
