Marketing & Events Coordinator (Full-Time, Remote)

Joyful Films is a faith-based film and media apostolate dedicated to evangelizing the culture through cinematic storytelling. Our work includes feature-length documentaries, short films, podcasts, and live screening events that inspire faith, hope, healing, and transformation.

Through powerful storytelling and strategic distribution, we aim to bring stories of faith to audiences across the country and beyond-particularly through theatrical screenings, parish partnerships, and digital media platforms.

Position Overview

The Marketing & Events Coordinator plays a key role in expanding the reach and impact of Joyful Films by executing marketing campaigns and coordinating screening events nationwide.

This is a mission-driven, execution-focused role responsible for ensuring that film campaigns are consistently promoted, well-organized, and effectively implemented. The position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate about using media to serve the Church.

Primary Responsibilities
Screening & Event Coordination

• Coordinate and support film screening events across the country
• Communicate with theaters, parishes, and partner organizations
• Create and manage ticketing and RSVP systems
• Execute event promotion timelines from announcement through follow-up
• Coordinate logistics, volunteers, and communication for each event
• Track event performance and assist in improving future campaigns

Marketing Campaign Execution

• Execute promotional campaigns tied to film releases and events
• Maintain campaign timelines and ensure deadlines are met
• Organize and manage marketing assets across projects
• Assist in expanding outreach through partnerships and local engagement

Email Marketing & Audience Growth

• Create and schedule email campaigns using Mailchimp
• Maintain and segment audience lists
• Assist in writing compelling promotional and storytelling emails
• Track and report on campaign performance

Social Media Management

• Schedule and publish consistent social media content
• Coordinate posts aligned with campaign timelines
• Monitor engagement and assist in audience interaction
• Support content distribution using existing film assets

Operations & Communication

• Provide weekly updates on campaign and event progress
• Identify blockers early and communicate proactively
• Support overall marketing and outreach efforts as needed

Expected Workflow & Deliverables

While projects vary seasonally, typical expectations include:

• Ongoing coordination and promotion of multiple screening events throughout the year
• Consistent execution of marketing campaigns tied to film releases
• 1-2 email campaigns per week during active campaign periods
• 4-6 social media posts per week
• Weekly reporting on progress, performance, and upcoming priorities

Qualifications Required

• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms and email marketing tools
• Comfort working in a remote environment
• Passion for Catholic mission and evangelization

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience coordinating events or managing campaigns
• Background in ministry, nonprofit, or media
• Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp and Eventbrite
• Basic understanding of marketing analytics

Compensation & Growth

This role includes a base level of compensation with opportunities for additional earnings based on performance, particularly tied to successful event execution, campaign growth, and audience engagement.
