Job Description

Bishop O'Connell High School, located in Arlington, VA, is seeking a chemistry teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should be qualified and prepared to teach courses at both the college prep and advanced levels. Applicants should have a degree in chemistry or a related field. Teaching experience, advanced degree, and/or education coursework is preferred. While the primary need for the position is in chemistry, this position would also include teaching responsibility for sections of physics or engineering. The school is also willing to explore part-time opportunities for this position for a qualified candidate. The Bishop O'Connell Science Department emphasizes laboratory work, project-based learning, and technology use to enhance student engagement with the science curriculum.

Compensation
