Position Summary:
The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for the Annual appeals, database management, and reporting.
This includes (not limited to) data management strategies to increase philanthropic revenue while retaining
and expanding the MKLM base of donors. Key aspects of the role include developing and executing strategic
plans for the direct mail program, recurring gifts, and tracking and reporting data; and driving digital and
social media fundraising. This position also supports donor relations, prospect research, and reporting.
The Annual Giving Coordinator's responsibilities require analytical skills, exceptional organizational skills,
creative thinking, and time management to meet the department's deadlines and fundraising goals. S/he
oversees the integrity of data and flow of information on donors and prospects; provides analysis and
reporting as needed; and collaborates in gift processing and acknowledgements. This is an exciting

Program Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Communications and Advancement Managers, the Annual Giving Coordinator will
plan, implement, and monitor direct mail, e-mail, online/digital giving and engagement campaigns that
inspire donors to make gifts. She/he will:
Expand and execute Companions in Mission, the recurring gifts program, with the goal of increasing the
number of donors who pledge to make gifts several times each year.
Support numerous missioner's fundraising and engagement strategies through the production of their
newsletters, using email and post.
Track and analyze giving and participation trends using Donor Perfect reports, generating detailed
progress updates for leadership and the board of directors
Evaluate donor behavior and use data to inform segmentation and target messaging for increased giving.
Stay current on and apply annual giving trends, innovations, and best practices.
Use Donor Perfect to manage donor data, generate lists and reports, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality,
and data integrity.
Work with consultants on acquisitions and strategies for accessing, understanding and acquiring new
donors.
Manage external agencies and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of mailing /
touchpoints/outreach and solutions.
Keep appraised of latest annual giving strategies across non-profits and proactively share trends with the
Advancement team.
Administration:
Assist Advancement Manager with preparing the annual financial budget and steps to achieve
goals.
Closely monitor and track costs to ensure in line with budget.
Improve data integrity through standardizing input and focusing on accuracy.
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, and presentations.
Responsible for staying abreast of the organization, including MKLM history, current events, Monday
Bulletin and Maryknoll publications, to understand and explain MKLM programs and financial
information.
Cross train with other staff members to support team members
Take on other duties when new projects are introduced.
Essential Job Criteria:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience: 3 years' non-profit fundraising experience including all aspects of marketing annual
giving and database management. Experience with data driven by successful direct mail and online
appeals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficiency with fundraising databases (DonorPerfect or other CRM systems)
Proven success with direct mail programs and donor acquisition appeals, retention, and growth.
Strong computer literacy required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and, Zoom;
graphic design is desirable.
Ability to create a range of written documents as required by program needs.
Competent with spreadsheets, budgets, and analytics.
Ability to work with minimum supervision. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and
attention to detail.
Team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues
Familiarity with the mission of Maryknoll Lay Missioners, catholic social teaching; knowledge and
interest in international affairs and humanitarian issues.
Demonstrates confidentiality and good judgement with donor relations.
Valid driver's license.
