Job Description

CHESTERTON ACADEMY OF NOTRE DAME, an independent, classical Catholic high school in Spokane, WA is seeking a dynamic teacher with a background in Art (both studio and Art History) for a part-time (or possible full-time position). Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach other subjects in addition to Art. This position will begin August 24, 2026, with a competitive salary. Applicants must have a passion for a Catholic liberal arts education. They should possess teaching ability, content excellence, classroom management with high school students, and the capacity to take on extra-curricular duties or mentorship in the Houses System (the House system is designed to promote character and virtue and to help students grow in holiness). Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body and participate in spiritual retreats or other school activities. They must also profess fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Salary $42000-50000 for full time employees depending on hours and experience. The offered salary will be based on internal equity, market data, applicant's skills and relevant experience, degrees and certifications.
