Job Description
St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Arvada, Colorado is seeking a Full-Time Director of Evangelization to lead parish-wide faith formation and evangelization efforts. The need at present allows for a collaborative approach to the works of Evangelization and Catechesis for the unevangelized, uncatechized, and uninspired of the surrounding area of West Arvada. Our hope as a parish is to see a collaborator come on board who would be able to mobilize our parishioners in the collective work of the universal mission of reaching their brothers and sisters for Christ. By creating opportunities wherein families, individuals, the unbaptized, the uncatechized could grow in their baptismal call the Director of Evangelization will aid in the sanctifying and teaching roles of the priestly office - a responsibility that is imposed at ordination upon priests but is shared by the baptismal call to make disciples for Christ and the Church. Having seen improvements in faith formation and youth ministry in recent years, the Director of Evangelization would collaborate with those offices in allowing their own gifting and mission to create a synergy wherein families could be served from the parents to the children with overlap and collaboration occurring with shared vision and objectives. The Director of Evangelization would not have oversight of these mission fields but would participate in ongoing strategic endeavors to reach more adults and parents to draw them deeper into the mission of the parish community.Vision - why we exist as a parish

This past year was one of a general focus around Spiritual Maturity, with this coming year being focused on our parish stretching toward the second aspirational goal of Fervent Evangelical Warriors. It is our manifest hope that having been formed in the Gospel narrative and challenged to bear fruit in fervor, zeal, and hope that in time we will see Generational Fatih. This is not a three-year program but an intentional move toward the kind of parish we believe that this parish will become with the help of God.
