Job Description
Holy Family / American Martyrs is seeking a reliable and mission-driven Administrative Assistant to the Pastor to support the Pastor in the daily operations of our parish office. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, welcoming, personable, and committed to serving the Church while assisting parishioners during important moments in their lives.Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (consistent weekly schedule required)
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coordinate sacramental intake and scheduling, including Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals
• Screen phone calls
• Maintain parish records and sacramental documentation in an organized manner
• Assist parishioners with general inquiries and office needs
• Support the Pastor with administrative tasks
• Coordinating the Pastor's calendar
• Supporting the parish office secretary
• Supporting staff and volunteers with overflow work related to parish events
Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic in full accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Basic knowledge of Catholic sacraments and parish procedures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule
This position may be structured as full-time or part-time depending on the candidate's availability and experience.
