Job Description
Summary/Objective:The Associate Director of Hispanic Ministry provides leadership, coordination and administrative support for the Office of Hispanic Ministry. This role helps with the equipping of parish leaders, manages resources, and fosters multicultural understanding in Hispanic communities. This position collaborates with diocesan staff, priests, parish leaders, and volunteers to promote evangelization, strengthen parish-based Hispanic ministry, and support major diocesan events and initiatives as the implementation of a new Diocesan Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
Essential Job Functions:
•Assist the Director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry to provide guidance, support, and resources to priests and parish staff & leaders.
•Coordinate and assist in programming diocesan-wide Hispanic ministry events and initiatives in collaboration with other diocesan offices.
•Provide communication, administrative, and project management support to the Director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry
•Provide support and guidance to priests and parish staff in developing and strengthening Hispanic ministry within their parish/pastorates, including sharing resources, materials, and best practices for ministry programming and outreach.
•Manage administrative tasks related to Hispanic ministry programs and events, including maintaining records, organizing event logistics, coordinating communications with parishes, and preparing documents or reports as needed.
•Assist with communication efforts such as email correspondence, event promotion, and coordination with diocesan and parish staff.
•Attend Hispanic Advisory Council meetings and other diocesan staff meetings as required.
•Support the planning and coordination of new events and ministry initiatives, including:
-500th Anniversary of the Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe
-Hispanic Women's Annual Conference
-Hispanic Men's Annual Conference
-Hispanic Youth Annual Conference
-Quinceanera retreats
-Among others

•Experience with publishing and layout a plus.
Required Education & Experience:
•B.A. or M.A. in Theology, Education, Ministry, Administration, or similar field preferred.
•Catechetical or Evangelization Certification/Formation preferred.
•Experience at parish ministry with Hispanic community, as a staff member or volunteer, is required.
•Bilingual verbal and written proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

•This position regularly requires sitting, standing, and the ability to lift moderate weight.
