Job Description
The St. Jerome Institute NOVA is seeking a teacher of Studio Art for the 2026-2027 school year. SJI NOVA seeks in its founding year to bring into being in a new location what we have already proven possible: that joy and order can thrive together in harmony, that faith and reason are meant to work together, and that humility and the pursuit of excellence are the calling of all young people. The Studio Art teacher will help students begin to understand the unique gift given to man: that he may participate in co-creation. By sitting at the potter's wheel, learning the basics of drawing and the elements of art, and imitating the masters, students will receive an education in craftsmanship while being formed in authentic beauty. The successful candidate will be able to serve in this part-time role (the class meets twice weekly and can be paired, for the right candidate, with a third meeting on Art History) and will have well-trained hand in one or more traditional media, as well as the eye, and mind, to recognize and delight in that which is truly Beautiful.
