Coordinator of Youth Ministry - Evangelization and Discipleship

This role will play a pivotal part in fostering the spiritual, social, and personal growth of middle and high school youth through dynamic youth ministry programs rooted in the Catholic faith. Position Overview:
The Coordinator of Youth Ministry for Evangelization and Discipleship is responsible for fostering spiritual growth, discipleship, and community-building within the youth ministry program. This individual reports to and works closely with the Director of Religious Education & Youth Ministry to focuses on building personal relationships with middle & high school youth, guiding them in their faith journey, and supporting their spiritual development through one-on-one discipleship, small groups, large groups, diocesan events and leadership formation. The coordinator will also work to deepen the overall spiritual culture of the youth ministry by encouraging active participation in parish life, prayer, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Discipleship and Spiritual Formation: Mentor and guide youth in their spiritual development, providing one-on-one discipleship and small group faith formation.
• Small Group Leadership: Lead and support small group discussions, helping youth build stronger relationships with God and each other.
• Youth Leadership Development: Identify and mentor youth leaders, empowering them to take active roles in leading their peers in the ministry.
• Family and Parent Engagement: Build relationships with parents and families to support the spiritual growth of youth both inside and outside the parish setting.
• Faith-Based Outreach: Promote outreach opportunities that encourage youth to serve others and grow in their faith through service.
• Program Support: Assist in supporting larger ministry events and retreats with a focus on spiritual enrichment.
• Collaboration: Work with the Director and other assistants to ensure that youth ministry programs are aligned with parish goals and the spiritual needs of the youth.

Qualifications:
• Strong commitment to the Catholic faith and Church teachings.
• Experience in youth ministry, mentorship, catholic school, camps, or a related field.
• Passion for discipleship and guiding youth in their faith journey.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with youth, families, and volunteers.
• Bachelor's degree in theology, religious education, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate program schedules.
