Job Description

The Diocese of Metuchen invites dynamic, faith-filled, and visionary leaders to apply for the position of Principal at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, a coeducational Catholic high school in Edison, NJ with 570 students dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service to others.

As the spiritual and academic leader of the school, the Principal is responsible for fostering a strong Catholic identity, advancing a rigorous academic program, supporting faculty and staff, and promoting a vibrant school community rooted in Gospel values.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the President, Board of Limited Jurisdiction, faculty, staff, parents, and the diocesan Office of Schools
• Promote and model Catholic values and traditions in all aspects of school life
• Provide instructional leadership and ensure high academic standards
• Oversee faculty development, curriculum implementation, and student achievement
• Encourage a culture of respect, accountability, and service
Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
• Master's degree in educational leadership or related field
• New Jersey Principal Certification (or eligibility)
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in Catholic education
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
