Job Description

Alexian Brothers - United States Unit (Milwaukee)
Build What Matters. Serve Who Matters Most.

The Alexian Brothers are seeking a bold, mission-driven leader to help shape the future of compassionate outreach in Milwaukee.

Grounded in over 800 years of service, we are looking for someone who is ready to step into more than a job-this is a calling. You will have the unique opportunity to create, develop, and lead ministries from the ground up, directly serving those most in need: the poor, the marginalized, and those often overlooked by society.

This role is ideal for a leader who sees unmet needs not as obstacles-but as invitations. Someone who can turn vision into action, and compassion into sustainable impact.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify unmet needs in the community
• Develop and launch new outreach ministries in Milwaukee.
• Ensure alignment with Alexian Brothers Charism and values.
• Build sustainable, scalable ministry models.
• Establish partnerships across community and Church networks.
• Create and lead a structured volunteer program.

Who You Are
• A self-starter.
• Passionate about serving the poor and marginalized.
• Strong relationship-builder and collaborator.
• Visionary thinker with the ability to execute.
• Grounded in faith, service, and mission.

What Success Looks Like
• New ministries launched and sustained.
• Growth in volunteer engagement.
• Increased visibility of The Alexian Brothers Congregation.
• Strong connection between ministry and vocations.

Compensation & Benefits
• Full benefits package.
• Competitive salary (based on experience).

Join us in building something that truly matters in Milwaukee.

About the Employer

The Alexian Brothers Congregation is a Catholic lay religious community founded in 14th-century Aachen, Germany, when men of faith cared for plague victims, buried the dead, and served the abandoned. Rooted in the Rule of St. Augustine and approved by Pope Sixtus IV in 1472, they took St. Alexius as patron and embraced the motto Caritas Christi urget nos - "The love of Christ compels us." Today, Brothers live under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, serving in Europe, the Philippines, and the U.S. Through prison ministry, outreach to the poor, and Christ's healing presence to those in need, they adapt their mission to modern needs.
